SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Community

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies to the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering expert services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency explained it is actually alarmed regarding the high quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The support position made for intervention ordeals a significant inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it hard to the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to allow the servicing of all customers and improve access to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
